That must have been a bit of work getting up there this time of year. Worth it.

This is the best photo in this free study. Not as clean or well executed technically but still very good and it tells a fantastic story. The composition is fantastic.

This is amazing, look at the depth in that photo. Not to mention the composition and the colors. I wish I would have voted.

I realized this challenge is full of fantastic photos but this should still have been top 20 if not top 10. Great shot.

I, like toddhead, am a Christian and a fairly conservative one at that. I don't think this is offensive at all. Maybe at an initial glance but the more I look at it just feels right. I think this captures the essence of the moment. It is just a little non-traditional.

As a medic I love how this also illustrates the teamwork between the medic and the firefighter. The firefighters are removing him from the cross, like extrication from a crumpled car, and passing him to the medics who are right there ready to do their part. There are just so many interesting elements. I could probably write a 20 page essay on this photo without running out of material. This is one of the best I've ever seen on dpc. It is very deserving that it would win this challenge. Brilliant work. You are the man.

This place is heaven for photographers. I went there a couple of years ago to climb it and was amazed by how much variety the park has to offer. Everyone must visit this park at some point in their life. Try to get down the trails if you can. It is so worth it. I may be working there as a ranger next summer so say hi if you see me. I'll give you some inside info.

How did this end up way down in 17th...? Man, I guess that is what happens when I don't vote. Great shot.

Nice shot, though I do think a tighter crop may have been better.

For all who are interested the cloud is a lenticular cloud. They are a sign of high winds and bad weather on the mountain. I climbed Rainier a couple years ago and it is a fantastic place. You could spend your whole life photographing the park.
