Morning Glowby gwe21Comment: Wow what a stunner, who ever gave this a one is trolling like a mad man/woman. This is a great flower picture very dynamic and lots to look at the water droplet complement the flower very well. The lighting is interesting maybe a little softer would have been better. The flower in the back definitely takes away from the subject flower and kinda blend with it. I'd also have to agree with getting rid of the border does nothing for image. all in all spectacular image and another in this group that was under rated.
P.S. I really like the tone of that green I don't know why though. |

Dying of Thirst!by Dirt_DiverComment: Hey Dirt_Diver,Interesting image and idea. I'm not really an expert when it come to studio lighting but I'll just voice some opinions about this image and what I like and dislike. First I really like the background and how it makes the roses pop, but the table is very distracting and be far the worse thing about the image. The rose on the left is too dark and lost in the shadows, it looks like it was intended to better juxtapose the two roses but I'm just not feeling it. Another thing is the roses have a bit of a halo around them which I noticed right away and kinda distracted me from the roses. Altogether the Image is of extremely high caliber and the lighting is in my opinion very well done, congratulations on a excellent image shame it didn't score better. |

Remembranceby breadfan35Comment: This is kinda a strange image because the technique used was very well done and the post processing was also of a high caliber. But were this goes wrong was in subject matter as its the only thing I can see that doesn't really pop for me. The problem is that theres nothing really unique about the photos subject matter(not every one knows who Patton was think that this is the famous general). Maybe if shot at a different angle so that you got more wall tombs in the photo and cropped the ground out to give it more of a never ending feel. But really this is a superb photo crisp, sharp and in my opinion worth much more then what it got. |

Winchester Cathedralby g3lawrenceComment: almost feels like your falling into the image. I don't know if I like the duo tone tho. I know you can't do this in basic but a vignette on this would work well in my opinion. |
