Fresh Snowby timfythetooComment: Excellent composition and contrast treatment. I actually has the look of a great B&W... The little color there is actually enhances the image. The shape of the trees focuses the interest on the figure, and the trail in the snow adds just the perfect finishing touch. 10 from me and my personal Yellow ribbon. |

Railroad Bridgeby djhockmanComment: This one has a "feel" that I can't really explain why... Reminds me of great photography of 30 years ago, and whenever that happens I find myself voting high (9 from me). I guess it's a combination of the composition, the broken line which I find meaningful plus a very god contrast treatment. |

The Maestroby classycamComment: This is such a deep shot that can be interpreted in so many ways... The gloves, the B&W contrast, the color parts, the face expression, the face paint... All of them so interesting, yet working together so well. |

Ascendingby GiorgioComment: Excellent composition, zig-zag lines that create dynamism, balance the image at the same time and make the eye explore. The subject makes the perfect counter-punch to the rigor of the lines.Very good image, |

Bridge Over Troubled Watersby docurrieComment: I like your composition and "framing" a lot. 8 from me. I just think that a little bit more contrast treatment to make the bridge darker and contain the image better would have worked well. |

Growing Old Togetherby HipychikComment: I think you've treated your subject very well through your composition and contrast with the tree, underlining its impact and character. |

Lunaby cptpolandComment: The best moon shot in the challenge - definitely the sharpest. Maybe this is why it also gives me the strongest emotional impact. 8 from me - I did vote one moon image a 9 though, the one with tree silhouettes... |

yesterday's newsby kolasiComment: I initially voted this a 6, then bumped twice, ending up on 8. I don't know what it is that draws me in the more I look at it. Somehow the combination of the newspaper, the title, and the lines that very regularly lead into... nowhere seem to work so well together. Also, very good treatment for contrast and impact. |

into thin air by tateComment: The image really captures the feeling of "here now, gone in a second", a short moment that will disappear. Only thing that I am wondering is if it would have worked better with a slightly larger silhouette... 8 from me. |
