Fallen Downby charmayneComment: needs a slightly larger DOF and more sharpness. Light is interesting enough, may be too sharp of a contrast between the warm and cool colors. |

Abandoned Dreamsby TuckersmomComment: wow, fabulous photo. It sort of indirectly fits the challenge so it may suffer because of that. |

David & Goliath (ll)by jjbeguinComment: This is my only 10 for this contest! Excellent job. I hope everyone else feels the way I do. You have definately sopken your message using the light sources in this photo... which is what I believe to be the heart of the challenge. Normally I would think that the bold division of the horizontal roof line running through the center of the image would leave a weak composition, but that didn't happen here. Both halves are complex in their own way, balancing each other. It seems to capture me as though I was walking down the street and happened to look up to this scene. I feel like I'm there, experienceing the vastness of the sunset sky, while remaining confined by the buildings around. This image is both technically and artisticly excellent.
Thank you for your submission. I was getting sick of looking at candles. This will be one of my favorites when the contest is over. Do I hear "print"? :-) |
