Bound For Gloryby jasonlpriceComment: What mpeters said - the combination of the shape around the vanishing point and the gap in the trees towards the top of the frame looks like an ethereal steam train on the tracks which only enhances the otherworldly feeling created by the colouring.
Congratulations on your top 10 finish.

Taani2.jpgby manishComment: What bdenny said. Looks too much like a bowel movement is underway - and I think that would annoy me after a while if I was the parent :).

On The Edge by DUCATISTAComment: Congratulations on your joint third finish, hopefully your ribbon is in the post...

Stormchasers by mpetersComment: Very nice shot, congratulations on the ribbon!
I'm with you on the f/32 vs. dust thing. Maybe get an ND filter? I had a similar problem with my entry (although mine was at f/20 where the dust isn't quite so bad).

The first bite could well be your last.by bmscbrucComment: Hi, just popping in because you ended up on the same page of results as me and your pic caught my eye :).
I like the concept, I also like Marmite but I'll let that slide ;). I don't think your background is doing much for you here and so I'm not sure why you shot at f/22 to get it so much in focus. I would be tempted to move the objects a bit closer together, and get the camera a lot closer to make them fill the frame more, and then shoot with a wider aperture to throw the background out of focus. Such shots definitely go down better around here!

Vanity Mirrorby baco99Comment: I didn't vote (not a member) but this is a great pic. Can't believe you got 4.2 with it :(. |

Chaotic Motionby essieComment: I really like the stationary 8 ball in the eye of the storm. Shame about some of the distracting half-objects in the background (especially the reflection in the corner of the picture). |
