His Team vs. Her Team: only one can winby ladyhawk22Comment: I can relate - my brother is a long-suffering north-sider. Great take on the challenge. I really like the subjects being positioned with their backs to each other, but turned forward enough so we can see their accountrements. Well thought upon and well executed - I hope you do well. 9. |

Answers to Life's Questionsby ericwooComment: The Bible or the Bottle? Interesting take on the challenge. Although you draw attention to the book by making it red, and to the inscription by putting it close to the ice cubes, I think you should have brought it out a little more - perhaps a large Bible would have worked better. Very creatively done - 8. |

Chalk and Cheeseby raishComment: Two very different media, to be sure, but hardly mutually exclusive - there can be cheese without chalk and chalk without cheese, and Chalk-E-Cheese if you try hard enough. The photo itself is very busy and the title subjects are de-emphasized. I give you kudos for trying something different. 5 |

~ Fire and Ice ~ Sun and Moon ~by HaneckComment: Very cool and kind of spooky. Certainly the subjects pictured are very different, but it looks like they are working together rather than mutually excluding each other. I will really look forward to the photographer's comments on this one. Are you illustrating the dichotomy of nature that is within us all? It's so cool that I'll put aside my confusion over adherance to the challenge theme - 8. |

Weekday - Weekendby LimboComment: Looks like a lot of hard work went into this one. I like the idea of using monochrome vs. color to accetuate the conflict. I also like the use of symmetry (an object in each hand, glasses of different styles on each side). Very nice job - hope you do well! 9 |

Fire / Waterby pacpintoComment: Interesting take on the challenge. The water itself and its role in the overall composition isn't clear enough to make it work for me. 6. |

Astronomy Dichotomyby BlackboxComment: If the dichotomy is light vs. dark then I follow you. It's a great shot, but it doesn't holler "dichotomy" at me. 6. |

The Tomboy & The Princessby rinacComment: She is gorgeous. I don't see enough of the tomboy to make it really work for me as far as the challenge is concerned - maybe if she were in a treehouse or something. Lighting and composition are very pleasing. 7. |

The unsolved dichotomy. Which came first? by De SousaComment: Not sure if this is really a dichotomy so much as a paradox, but its a very interesting idea, and well executed. I love the use of rule of thirds and the frozen motion. It's a little dark for my taste. 7 |

Invertibrate in ex-Vertibrateby cogeroxComment: High marks for an interesting take on the challenge. The photo itself is rather busy, the snail doesn't stand out enough, and I don't think the black background works. Gutsy choice of subject. 6. |
