Venetian Doorwayby tryals15Comment: Nice! I like how it feels like you're in an Escher drawing.
"Am I looking up? Down? Are those stairs? No. What are they?"
It's a great example of how discord can be a GOOD thing :) Message edited by author 2007-06-09 17:25:55. |

Beneath the beautyby SouthCoastOr3gonComment: Two things that would boost your scores: I realize it's awfully hard to get spiders to pose, but a more head-on view would help. Also, the colors are a bit dull. If you boost your Saturation in PS, I think it would help this image a LOT. |

Wing Replacementby pointandshootComment: I can't see what it is I'm supposed to be seeing or understand what I'm supposed to be understanding :) I just can't tell what this photo is. |

Peterborough Cathedralby SoulMan1978Comment: POSITIVES: Nice color and I like the movement of the priests entering the sanctuary.
IMPROVEMENTS: All the lines of the photo lead to the statue of Jesus. With that being the case, a tighter crop on him and a crisper focus on him would benefit the composition.
Hope this helps! |

Sacrifice by graphicfunkComment: Great shot. 9. I like the contrast and the gritty hands of the "nailer." Just a suggestion, not a nit pic at all, but maybe some leather straps or something wrapped around Jesus's wrist would make that hand seem less posed. |

Faithby carlosComment: Challenge Performance: There's one human image in the top 20 and then the next is at 56th. There are very few people shots in the Challenge. The majority must have believed that finding interesting shapes in nature or architecture, etc. was what the Challenge was about. Not portraiture.
I like the way the lines of the umbrella lead into his face and I like his "thoughtful" expression.
I'm not sure how I would have voted on it though. Something really has to grab me to get high marks and I don't think that would have happened as I was browsing through the entries. |
