White Waterby vtruanComment: This would have worked much better if either the canoeist or the water was unblurred. Difficult to achieve, for sure (I'm not even sure if blurred canoeist, unblurred water would be possible); but it would have made for a spectacular shot.
As it is, it's all just blurred, I'm afraid. |

Bring It Onby MichaelCComment: A great shot.
The mood of the sky matches that on the face of the subject, and the whole thing is enhanced with the colour desturation. Just the right amount of blur (and colour) in the ball to emphasise that it is the only non-stationary element. |

Speedby Jaded_HousewifeComment: This photo is incongruous. The distant background suggests speed, although the car itself appears to be stationary - there is no sense of the wheels or the road moving.
I'm not sure what I'm supposed to make of this. |

Pinwheel Farris Wheelby scarbrdComment: Nicely done. Striking use of colour, supported by understated use of fish-eyed "cityscape" in the background.
I am left vaguely wondering just what is happening in this shot, though... |

Streetby StrikeslipComment: Nice sense of movement in the cab. The bright colours of the cab juxtapose well with the dayglo jacket of the cop. And there's just enough "other stuff" happening in a subdued way in the background to create the right sense of "busy street scene".
I like it. |

Land Rovingby Len ScapComment: Nicely executed - rotational blur in the wheels, linear background blur, the car over to the right creating a sense of the camera struggling to keep up (even though you clearly weren't, judging by how crisp the car is).
Just not quite enough happening for my tastes. |

Fast Bikeby FocusPointComment: This could've been a great shot. If only it had been a little closer to the suject, and without that barrier in the foreground. |

The Turnaroundby PhotoTessComment: Nicely lit and framed. The concept has been done once or twice before, though.
To get more sense of movement in the hair: use a slower exposure, and take the shot once your subject has stopped moving her head but while the hair is still moving. Slower exposure means you'll need to use a natural light source, though; flash will be too fast. |
