| 08/09/2006 05:25:42 PM | cooking!by Ecce_SignumComment: "Great Job" from the "Great Job Baggie"! I originally gave you an 8 on this shot. After 2nd pass through, I'm changing that score to a 10. I love the black and white of the photo with the exception of the eggshell and yolk. There is nothing technically that I can pick apart in this shot. It is quite lovely. Although this is a subject that is limited in it's appeal to those interested in cooking, it's beauty and originality is undeniable. I can see this in poster size hanging on the wall of a breakfast place. You deserve the 10 that I'm giving you. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 08/09/2006 10:22:23 AM | Mangia!by Jaded_HousewifeComment: "Great Job" from the "Great Job Baggie"! A very well executed shot. I enjoy looking at this, it makes me want to head to the kitchen to get the sauce going. The lighting and use of color in this is very nice. It is very clear and sharp. The little props around the window and sink add lots of interest. I wish there was a little more tossing of the pasta here. There's a whole bowl of the pasta to throw in the air, but this only has a few pieces. Anyway, I can see this shot hanging in a kitchen, of course, but also could be in a restaraunt, or department store in their kitchenware section! Upping my original 7 after taking a second, longer look. Giving you a 9. It would be a 10, except for the lack of pasta in the air. Next time, just give it a good toss! | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 08/09/2006 10:21:24 AM | *Neverland*by ShermyComment: "Great Job" from the "Great Job Baggie"! Wow. I hardly know where to begin. So, I guess anywhere is a good place. The background. Extraordinary use of color. Eye-popping color. The subject. Very well executed, and a very sweet and sentimental subject. The position of the subject in the shot is a nice touch, coming from the upper left, moving downward and toward the center of the canvas. The whispery feeling of the girl's dress, and the way it fades away into the color is a very nice addition. The ONLY little thing that I find distracting to the softness of this photo is the boots on the girl. They just don't fit the overall mood of the shot. A small distraction, but something I feel. I don't know if barefoot, or a simple sandal with clean lines would have been better, and less distracting. This sounds like a fasion comment now, LOL. Anyway, I'm upping your photo from an 8 to a 9 after a second glance. The boots is what keeps me from giving it a 10. Definately a beauty tho! | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 08/09/2006 10:20:20 AM | Fight Clubby steinarComment: "Great Job" from the "Great Job Baggie"! Okay. This is hard to comment on, as who likes violence? Because I don't like violence, it's hard to look at it. BUT. I'm going to try to separate myself from that feeling, and try to judge this. It is a very well executed shot. The perspective is wonderful, with the tilt of the camera seeming to get into the action. The waterflow (or is that blood, yuck!), coming from the mouth of the victim in the foreground is very good. It is very realistic, maybe that is why I struggle with this. The details are all there for this one. Even the hair looks like he's been in a sweaty brawl! The background pair adds interest to this shot, and thank God, it takes my attention away from that poor soul in the foreground! The use of color is great, somewhat tonal, and the use of lighting is nice as well. It deserves higher than the 8 that I gave you, so I am upping this to a 9, but reluctantly because of the subject matter. I won't deny it's creativity and originality by keeping your score lower than it deserves. You are actually pretty courageous for this shot. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 08/09/2006 10:18:46 AM | 9mmby thegrandwazooComment: "Great Job" from the "Great Job Baggie"! Makes me wonder what kid of studio you have that you are firing shots in there! LOL. Anyway, a great stopped motion shot, executed with precision. I like the fact that most of the bulb is yet intact, and you can tell the bullet hasn't done it's full damage yet, but has only just tapped the outer edge of the glass at this point. I love the tiny tiny shards that are in this. The only distraction are some of the room reflections in the bulb, but then again, maybe it gives it some elements of interest. Anyway, I gave you a 7 originally, upping it to an 8, because you just deserve it! | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 08/08/2006 09:35:21 PM | Urban Summer Funby madison461Comment: "Great Job" from the "Great Job Baggie"! Hard to judge fairly when the subject looks like a relative. Of course I want to score this highly! But aside from that, I'll be fair. Any child shot is adorable in my eyes. What makes this one special is the curiosity that this child expresses. Good job capturing that! I gave you an 8. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

| 08/03/2006 11:59:54 PM | Sit -Stay - Relaxby PhotoRynoComment: I love the foreground (water) in this shot, definately the most quiet of the water shots that I've seen so far. And the building is also very nice. But my eye is drawn to the details of the background trees, too much happening in this photo for it to truly be quiet. Pretty though! | 08/03/2006 11:59:28 PM | Two minds in one bodyby NunoComment: Very lovely, she seems at peace. A very different subject matter from the rest of this challenge, which is refreshing. As a mother, I see the beauty in this shot. My original vote wasn't as high as it should be, so I'm giving you a little boost. Great job from the 'Great Job Baggie'! | Photographer found comment helpful. |
