I love the texture in this shot. a great example of high contrast too. it looks almost.. surreal, with a drawn-like quality. great shot. 9

Contrasting Hands

Contrasting Hands

Comment:
It's a ncie idea, and the little hand is certainly cute, and the contrast is definatly there, the lighting is what sort of "breaks" the shot. If this was an onboard flash, there's not much you can do, but with a little creativity, you can get your flash to bounce off the ceiling (i sometimes use a cd to bounce the light). This creates a softer flash, and prevents the harsh shadows created by a flash. then again, i could always be completly wrong that it was a flash.. in any case, the harsher shadows isn't the bes quality of this photo. Good attempt though, 6.

I love the tones in this image. The contrast is great, and despite the high contrast, nothing "too bright" . The bright parts of the dog might be pure white, but it goes well with the photo. good job, 8

wow, i love skies like this. I have a few "rays of snshine" skies myself, but i never had such a great shadow to put in front :) it meakes a great composition to have this girl in a dress there. There's a stray little pixel in the middle there, but i guess you saw that yourself (and couldn't do a thing about it.. doh) , great shot. 8

i love the high key of this shot, and i've always been partial to old twisty trees :) the top of the trunk might be a bit *too* dark though considering the tones of the rest of the shot. Good job nonetheless. 8

The composition is nice, and the idea is great, but the overshaprened nature of the shot is detracting alot from it personally. It looks like it could have been made a bit bigger also. 6
