I've held off on voting on this for a couple days now trying to decide if a picture can meet challenge simply by the title. It is a good picture, albeit a little dark for my preference and the floating highlight in the upper-left quadrant is a little distracting. If there was something sports, or even game, related in the shot, I would have scored higher, probably a 6 or a 7, but after voting on everything else, I just can't bring myself to do it. 4

Ooh, a tough one! Without the person, this would have been just another picture of seats. With the person, it technically DNMC. I like the shot, though, and so does my wife :-) 6

I can't quite tell what I'm looking at here. The shoe placement in the frame is good, but the red things above get a bit busy, and it feels like there's a cyan cast to the picture.

That top section of railing is distracting to me. I don't know if I would have moved farther forward to get rid of the chunk in the lower right or moved back to include the whole piece, but the way it is doesn't seem right. Beyond that, though, nice image. The contrast and lighting work nicely, and the slightly off-center arrangement helps keep it from being too static.

I like nearly everything in this shot. Only minor thing is the tops of the goal posts get lost in the clouds a bit, but that's pretty minor. I love the positions and lighting on the shoes. Good job!

Seat Pattern

Crisp focus, good lighting, the contrasting colors really pop. I would have cropped it differently, though, maybe doing square with one of the yellow stripes running diagonally through it to enhance the abstractness of it. Well done.

Oooh, so close! This would have been a fantastic shot with a bit more contrast and maybe brightened up a bit. From the looks, the lighting must have been pretty low, but I can't help but think some post-proc would have made everything snap a bit more.

For such a stark image, the subject is very subtle. I had to look a couple times before I realized what my perspective was. I find myself trying hard to like this, but my eye keeps wandering off the right side of the picture into that big expanse of darkness. Technically quite well done, though.

Nice concept, but the execution didn't quite make it. Given the prominance of the lock and gate, I feel it should have been in crisp focus. Must have been an overcast day, too, for the image to have such flat contrast.
