Interesting. Good idea and is desolation but I can't find a spot that my eye wants to rest on. The cropping seems a bit aggressive. You could try putting the center of the tunnel into a golden ratio type composition. The colors don't work for me - Seems like afternoon sun and everything is washed out. 5

The mountain is deserted but not desolate because there is no misery involved. Its very pretty but not quite desolation. I love how the colors reflect off the bottom of the clouds. 6

Good composition but the picture doesnt imply desolation - only the title does.. Perhaps if you had more of the partly built lower floors ? 5.

Update - I thought about it and this does meet desolation better than other entries so upgrading 7.

Nice composition but without the title it seems like she's meditating and not desolate. I suppose the choice of her dress and pose has some role in that.Lovely colors and the way the water and sky form a single element. It might have been more impressive without the model. 6

looks like the contrast was hard to handle - you have almost blown highlights on the top and very dark shadows. Good location choice. 6
