Nice picture! However, what I'm missing is the connection between the lady and the child . Although she is holing the child, the fact remains that she is looking out of the picture and that kills that very important connection "Magic" If you look at it the way I do and imagine the lady looking lovingly down to the child , you see what I mean and what's missing ...

Interesting lighting in this picture , but i am missing a bit of a fill light on the left side. I know you wanted to have the strong contrast , still I think it would have been a better picture if you would have painted with light to achieve a little bit more of a 3D effect. However nicely shot !
