The shot is a little boring to me. An actual well with an old wooden bucket might have been better, assuming you could find one.

Very nice use of saturating specific colors while desaturating others. The flower is really a nice touch.

Nice shot, although I'm not sure it needs so much black background, especially on the bottom.

Nice picture, although the contrast is almost a bit too high for my taste. The highlights all seem to be on the verge of blown out.

I think I would have gone for a shot of an actual butterfly. I'm not sure what that halo effect on the lower "wings" is, but it distracts me, and makes it look out of focus or something.

Comment:
Wow, a very nice shot. I love the color in the balloon, and how the back lighting just adds to the contrast in the balloon. I might have cropped it closer on the balloon since the green countryside is not all that interesting, and it would have removed the vignette from the lens while drawing more focus to the subject. Were you in another balloon or something else to get that great perspective looking down?

Three Easy Pieces - Wright Morris

Comment:
The jagged edge of the picture pieces make it look like this was out of focus and then over sharpened. While the reflection looks great, the direct light on the pieces is almost a little bit too much and on the verge of having them look blown out. Not sure I like the crop all that much - I probably would have centered it and left off a lot of the top to be able to gain more resolution on the subject.

I really like the cat and the pose you got from it. I'm not sure I would call it "sophisticated" any more so than a normal cat, but I do like the color, contrast, sharpness, and the lighting.

Nice capture of the action. It's a shame the background is so white and uninteresting. It almost seems to blow out the picture for me.

Nice silhouette, although I think it is a shame not to pull out and show more of it. I'm not totally sold that this was the best location to take the shot from for the best perspective.
