Pilgrimby outlandComment: Too front lit, would have liked to have seen more light modeling. Shadow off of hood too harsh. |

babyduck.jpgby KelliComment: Cute pic. Cute duck!
The focus is a little soft on the duck, but the sidewalk is in great focus! (That's the trouble with focus sometimes!) Don't be afraid to take several pictures of a subject like this one, even switch over to manual focus if need be. You can bracket your focus (take several shots with varying focus, starting out-of-focus-near, and going a bit at a time to out-of-focus-far) -- it doesn't cost anything now that there's no 35mm to develop. :-)
Also, you might try getting down to eye level with a subject this small. I realize you were probably on a busy street, and laying down on the sidewalk might not have been advisable at the time, but setting the cam on the ground and shooting away may have yielded a far different result. |

These Boots Are Made For Workingby AlainComment: I'd like a little defenition between the snow and the sky. Can't see a horizion. That said, I like the angle on the boots, and the lighting a LOT. |

Climb every Mountainby judojoeComment: Hmm. I like the photo, but it looks staged. This is especially frustrating in images that aren't staged; I've had that problem myself. Perhaps a longer exposure time while she (pink shoes -- I'm assuming it's a she) lifts her foot would give it a little blur, making it more real? |

Thinking About Runningby Dirt_DiverComment: Hmmm... why is she so sad? She doesn't look to me to be thinking about running. What does the teddy have to do with thinking, running, or shoes? How does the wrinkled sheet fit in? When I think about running, I do it in my house, or on my patio, putting on my shoes. Why is one leg rolled up and the other not? It's got a lot of good elements (in fact, all the ones I just mentioned are good elements), but better suited for an "emotive" challenge. |

For Fresh Feetby dahvedComment: Good pic! I might like it more without the pink shoe in the middle. It would make a nice "wave" shape then. |

Wee Ha!by Firstrich1Comment: This is something I'd see on the wall of a cabin. Thanks for giving it a little something extra. |

Evening Wearby j3zzComment: A longer exposure might give you more defenition in the shoe laces. |
