Babies are wonderful, heavenly things, but I"m not sure your lighting accomplished this idea. Perhaps you were trying to imitate a "womb like" light?? I would have rated this photo a lot higher with more "normal" lighting, but then, perhaps I"m not seeing your artistic intent. Just my humble opinion, no offense intended.

very nice rose, but the background is a bit distracting. I would have tried a shallower depth of field or put something behind it like some black fabric to make the rose stand out, then it would have been striking.
