His face is so expressive, and you captured him well. (The white of his eyes are a little too white for me - I'd prefer if they blended a bit like his shirt color, but perhaps it was the eyes that drew me in to begin with) |

Backlighting, Deep DoF, Leading Lines by jdannelsComment: A truly beautiful image. I find this challenge exhausting to vote on (I don't love having to pay such attention to either techniques or titles) but I hit my 20% so I wanted to come back to this one, which I find very peaceful & relaxing. Ferris wheelby SEGComment: Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sure you're regretting the title so I won't hammer on that. I see for the challenge: rule of thirds, blur, long exposure. Well done on using 3 techniques. Even so, I think the image is nice but doesn't move me in any way emotionally, so a 6 from me. |

Deep DOF, High Key, Portraitby loveComment: I enjoy this image; her expression is ambiguous enough that it's something I want to look at for a while to figure out. I don't see the high key in this, so I'm substituting "soft focus" in the title for myself and then it all works really well. |
