Why is the pot so out of focus? I think that some sharpening would have worked wonders for the contrast between the white petals.

I like the idea of the colors and the structure of the background. I don't like the lighting and the focus might have been more on the shell. All in all this is no longer 'natural' but a constructed and composed picture, so you might have had the opportunity to improve lighting and focus, I suppose.
