its a dog ( shadow puppet)by bigcheech610Comment: this is grainy- too small for me to really 'score' properly and tho the concept of a shadow-puppet is nice; it would have been more beneficial on a solid color bgrnd perhaps? (ie: white wall) the line down the 3rd of it is distracting to me; i hope my feedback is useful |

Raggedyby k9logicComment: very cute; something feels off about some of the colors.... I can't quite put my finger on it; perhaps its the pink at war with all the rest of the colors? I think I would have liked this better if it was done as a portrait; tho it is still nice my interest level would be higher seeing the face/upper torso (perhaps because there is nothing going on with the legs/arms I don't quite feel like I need to see them..? ) just throwing some thoughts out there and first reactions - hope its helpful.. |

Inspired by Hurrellby jnenvirComment: I'm finding my eyes are more interested in the shadow than the doll- I'm not sure if that is what you intended but its an amazing shadow; really interesting - (I don't deduct points for this= but just so you know that you have some dust-spots on your lens (left of the frame; and somewhat towards the center) -- its a lovely doll I'd like to see it cropped differently tho to pull my interest into the doll and the shadow created by the doll... |

Carnival Prizeby ttreitComment: very adorable tho my eyes keep jumping all over the place... not really finding a single point of interest - but instead jumping from multiple points of interest...lights in the background...the orange tiger/the brownish bear/cat the shapes created by the white...then to the tag and back to the lights again.... -- i like how they're back to back; it makes me think of my trip to the carnival a few weeks ago |

P U N K R O C K by jonnienyeComment: I would take the background and turn it black and white selectivly- then lower the opacity so that it isn't competing with the subject... leave the subject and the spotlight in color perhaps even bump the levels a bit? |

Deadringers Guild by jonnienyeComment: OK I see it from both perspectives I think :-) my initial thought is "that would be a kickarse shot with some liquid-gelled light on the background and a somewhat flash/spotlight effect on the subject... I love band photography - the tilt makes me want to see motion tho... i just get this itchy feeling of needing to see more going on if that makes any sense? perhaps some of this can be achieved in post-processing to this photo? (photoshop has some nice lighting effects/ tints/ dodge burn) :-) |
