Lose the border, I think this works without it. At least connect the border with the line you drew with the highlighter to make it look like one line, if you have the opportunity.

Not enough in focus, and not interesting composition. Trying cropping to force the viewr to know what the subject is. I think the object would look great in macro detail.

You have yellow, but I don't think it is the subject of your photo. Look at that hair! I am getting marked down for the same thing with mine. Trust me, I know the feeling. Good composition - I would have possibly made a more shallow depth of field choice to get the trees and buildings out of the shot.

Good DOF (although I am sure someone has commented that you need more in the foreground). Unfortunately, the composition doesn't do much for me. Maybe if you made it more diagonal, it would be more dynamic.

I would say you need to darken this up a bit to create more of a silhoutte of the flower. Also, a lowering of the contrast might help with the spots that are showing on the vase.

Is this a zoom picture? Neat effect. You lose some detail in the middle - but I dont think the middle of the flower is the interesting thing here. Nice work.

Yellow Pepper

Simple composition. It looks as though you tried wetting the pepper to get some interest going. A strategically placed light would have brought out the drops more. Check out the Rule of Thirds, I think thi swould be an interesting picture if the left half of the pepper took up the right third of the frame. (Did that make sense)

Crop out the green leaves and you would have a nice shot there. Also, look into The Rule of Thirds to add some zing to your composition.

Cute idea with an anarchist and a balloon, but it doesn't look like he is the one holding the balloon. Take the shot from a better angle to tie the two together. Also, DOF is lacking.

Garage Squares

With this orientation, you should have gotten much closer than you did. The road in the foreground is not parallel with any other line and thus detracts from overall composition.
