Brushed Grainby fotodudeComment: This definitely shows texture, but there's not really much here to capture the viewer's interest, in my opinion. I would like to have seen what makes *this* piece of wood unique. Why is it any better or different than any other piece of wood? Nice choice of frame. 6 |

Smooth Sensationby scsher29Comment: You lose points for getting a song on my mind. ;o) Nah, I'm kidding. This is a cool shot, I like the framing of the wick. |

message in a bottleby ursulasComment: Unique shot with a lot of character. The lighting seems a bit harsh (most noticeably in the bright spot in the middle of the one that says Easter) but I like the composition, as well as the frame. 7 |

The coarse of a wallby Sam JowettComment: Nice shot all around. I like the angle, the black & white, the texture, and the way it goes from dark at the bottom to light at the top. 7 |

A Hummingbird's Tailby GolferDDSComment: This just strikes me as odd, for some reason. I understand that you're probably wanting to focus on the texture of the tail feathers, yet I can't see why you wouldn't include the entire bird. |

Coarse Lineby SDWComment: I like the angle of this, and how sharp the whole shot is. |

old shoesby yehbahComment: I like the lighting here; it adds a lot of interest to an otherwise bland subject. I'm not sure about the thinner sides of the frame, but I do think it looks better than if there weren't a frame at all. I know I sound a little unsure, but I really do like the shot. 8 |
