Is the dog still living there? If you stick your head in, I wonder if it will come out again? Nice picture, great atmosphere. I can't decide on the technical aspect, it could be better technically I suppose, but despite that I like the picture enough from the composition and challenge side of things to score it well. Great picture (8)

This is a really good shot; I'm glad you stayed with colour. I don't think it needs B&W or sepia treatment - the rust looks superb, and I think that'd be lost without colour. One small gripe – the focus is a bit off, but that – for me anyway - doesn't detract much from the picture (9)

It's bold, it's dead cheeky, and it flies in the face of the challenge... But, the sun is, without doubt, old... I'm scoring 10 for this; it's a shot I'd wished I'd thought of, and you've executed it with skill. Even the title has put a smile on my face - will others see it this way? Technically good, but lacking in punch: I would have liked to see more (or less) of the building itself. I think closer in or all the way out to show the whole building would have improved the overall composition – just one opinion(5)

This is a great shot. I like the fence – don't ask me why, I think it's a subliminal influence. It's great on the eye, makes the place inviting and friendly. The whole image has a hidden tranquillity; I can't help imaging myself sitting on that porch relaxing with a glass of wineâ€Â¦ (10)

This – for me – is an easy 10â€Â¦ I think it works really well, technically superb – I don't think even the purist's will find too much wrong – my opinion, but the DPCer's are a diverse set of people. Composition, again, up there with the top pictures in the setâ€Â¦
