Very moving shot. I love the composition - the reflection of the hands on the wall adds so much. An emotional entry, very powerful. One of my favorites in the challenge!

Quite a striking shot - good capture of facial expression and use of lighting so their is no obvious shadow from the brim of the hat.

Very moving image - you've captured both seriousness of duty and sense of pride in the expression. Good use of DOF to really make the focal point pop. One of my faves in this challenge!

Excellent composition - I really like how you used DOF and set up the monument to be in line with the rose. Facial expression captured perfectly. Great shot!

This would make a colorful calendar page! My eye tends to wander around and enjoy all the separate images. I'm wondering if you had chosen one to be a focal point if this would have been a stronger image overall.

I think that your idea to use selective saturation was a good one. You've really managed to capture the emotion and excitement of the children wanting to go in the pool. Perhaps if you had chosen to selectively saturate the water in the pool instead of (or in addition to) the bathing suits you might have been even more pleased with the results.

I can tell you put a lot of thought into this. Right now, the sheer number of drops is distracting overall. I can see where you are going, but am not sure this particular shot is the best expression of your vision.

I can just see this hanging on my brother's wall. This is a great shot with nice color balance and overall feel.

Mmmm - yummy. I had to go make some of my own after seeing this! Perhaps if you had used a different background (or different lighting) the popcorn would have stood out more and you would have been even more pleased with the result. Clever title.
