Swirlingby ryandComment: Nice color, eventhough the reds and yellows might be a little too oversaturated. The blured water doesn't work here. that white spot is a main focus point in this photograph and when one looks there, there is nothing but fuzzy white. I think that more form to the water (fall)? would have helped. I also think that more detail in the dark water pool would have helped. The middle of this picture is lacking in detail. |

Carly.by jessy_pesceComment: I like the softness of this portrait. Nice skin. It's good to see that it is not overworked. Maybe a little bit of brightening would help but I don't know. Maybe a bit of vignette darkening on the left side or lower left side would help. Overall with a frame I think this is OK. |

Kansas Goldby brizmamaComment: Nice picture for an ad. Plenty of space for copy at the top and middle. But, don't like the large blurred flower in the forground. |

Ground Fog in Fallby Faye PekasComment: OK, nice misty morning. I don't know but maybe the fence post is too distracting. What is the subject of this photo. The fog? The fence post? the distant barn, the field, the distant trees? I would have liked to see the color version of this; I don't think this works as a black and white. I think that a long landscape cropping of this to include just the distant hills, trees, fog, field and barn with some cloning out of the top of the fence post would help this picture. I think that this is one that could be made into a spectacular misty atmospheric color photograph. |

Tables and Chairsby sfaliceComment: Interesting. Good composition. A little overprocessed but good for what it is. Good in black and white. |

Tiger Lilyby macleodnComment: OK. I would have used a little dodging on the stamens of the flower and perhaps used a little bit of a dark or light vignette. Sometimes I use a gradient layer at the top of these flower shots in some complimentary color and fade it down, then bringing back most of the flower from the underlying layer. sometimes two separate gradient layers in different colors, one at the top and one at the bottom work for the shot. I think it sometimes gives a nice hazy soft light filled background to the composition. The composition is good. |

The Dancing Buildingby elemessComment: Nice lines Composition OK although I think I would have liked to see a little bit more blue sky on the left for balance. If this was sharpened I think that it was almost a little bit too much. |

"Triumph"by stargazer05766Comment: Nice focus. Maybe a tighter crop would help to make a more interesting composition. Maybe a little dark vignetting would help direct focus on the horse head. |
