    I got started in photography when I took a Visual Communications course in school a couple years ago. We had a photography section that we would have assignments along the lines of DPChallenge. We would only use film and the really old Minolta SLRs. I hated taking a picture and having to wait until you took the rest of the roll of film to find out if it turned out. That is why I now take digital photos.

    Buying my Canon Digital Rebel XT Canon EOS 30D was one of the best things I have ever done. I am seeing more and more that the camera does not have a lot to do with taking a good picture but an DSLR makes it fun. I am now hooked on photography and am starting to buy lenses and accessories.

    I started to get involved in DPC looking to learn a lot and maybe even take a good picture someday. I see now that DPC is not just a photo challenge, it is an online community.
