Locked in Timeby SamTComment: I like this picture. My main suggestion for improvment would be to step forward a bit to get rid of the tree trunk (or whatever it is to the left). |

Green eyesby JinjitComment: Totally cute, great colours and focus. This would be a super photo without the the wooden bar right in the middle of the picture, covering half the subject. |

Michelleby lagavulinComment: Great portrait and subject. The stairs however are not the nicest complement to the picture and end up being a distraction. A little bit of crop to center and remove as much of the side railings would have resulted in a much better score. |

Autumn Leafby hawkidaComment: This is so dark its difficult to tell if the image is even in focus - it almost looks like an abstract piece, though I doubt this was the intention. |

A fitting place for Liberal Mediaby kimybradyComment: Not sure why you think the NY Times is so liberal (and why liberal = trash), but I won't let that affect my rating. The picture is too small (use the 640 limit - it's a small limit as it is!), and the composition is dull. Otherwise an interesting idea. There appears to be areas with lack of focus suggesting shallow DOF, but maybe that was a disguised hint at the shallow POV expressed ;-). |

A Pearl of Great Priceby theSajComment: I can't really make out what this is, though it appears to be the sun in the sky with something crossing in front of it. Needs focus! |

World in Motionby terjeComment: The levels/contrast adjustments are obviously overdone on purpose. The resulting effect is great on the bridge. What bothers me is the effect on the city lights to the left - the eye is drawn to the blown out neon and away from the bridge. I think it would be better without the guy too. |

just Burtby Sverige52Comment: This would easily do better with a sharper focus. Burt makes a good subject though, you should try this shot again. Seems like it could do better with a smaller aperture (it might also help cut down on the blue tinges you get around the light areas at the top of the picture). |

Stormy sunsetby hjolliComment: This is a nice shot. I would have probably rated it higher if the orange wasn't quite so saturated. The building in the bottom left is distracting - a different angle with only the church and the sky would have been more striking. |

F-18 forming vapor burstsby jas0420Comment: I have no idea how you captured this so perfectly, but I'm in awe of your skills! I hope you gave some comments on when, where and how you did this so I can read them after the challenge. |
