I love shots like this. I took a picture similar to this in Death Valley with an old rusted '20s pickup truck in a ghost town.

Looks beautiful. From a strictly photographic point of view, I would say that the single palm tree and the flag compete for the viewers attention. One or the other would present a simpler, bolder statement. Just grass, sea, sky and solitary palm tree or solitary flag and golf ball.

The blown out reflection of the sun with some twigs sticking out becomes the focal point of this picture, which is unfortunate because it doesn't make for a very interesting focal point.

I really like the negative space in this photo - but I would have rather that there was no grass at all, and maybe a bigger or better splash.
