I liked the backlite (though the window doesn't really help)... Tell you what though, I'll give it an 8 if you promise never to post the color version :) Sounds real scary ~ But that's just me

Interesting form with nice lines. However, I don't think that soft focus works well with texture. Also the washed out lower lrft hurt this shot for me. But thats just me :)

NOTE : Upon adjusting my monitor, I now see the soft focus was my monitor, not your photo... Sorry about that! Still a bit washed out on the left, but I'm bumping you 2 to a 6... Again, sorry!

Looks a little snapshotish... From what I can see the audiance looks like a real interesting subject. Maybe if you go to another of whatever this is, you should try shooting the folks around you that are watching.

Nice perceptive. Seems a little 'Low Res"... Was this a crop from a much larger shot? The color of the shirt is great, but the logo keeps stealing my eyes away. Kind of distracting. Great model! Very photogenic :)

Challenge was meet (at least for me) but the black streak kind of hides the skater's head. I don't know if you had control over your subject (although he/she appears to be a teen so I doubt it) but if you could have gotten them into better light without whatever caused that black streak, I think you would have had a 'hang on the wall' shot.

At first I took a point off for not meeting the challenge, but I'm feeling better now. I don't think you NAILED the challenge, but you certainly met it. Can't wait to see the exposure time/aperature info.
