BackDraftby Ecce_SignumComment: Bet the out-take went in smoke, right? Nice composition. The "dark space" is very effective - and I like how the vessel is suspended (and simplified) by its placement. |

Haystack Rockby ZoomdakComment: So... didn't this rock formation just get a Blue? :-) Still nice, even here in this challenge. Another way to show the same image would be slightly earlier, as the last light was still hitting the rocks so that there was some detail on both the rocks and the image. However, maybe at that point the tides would have been different and the image non-existant. |

Fly away to Japanby PhilipDyerComment: Such interesting Japanese architecture. Immediately evokes feelings of the mysterious orient. Nicely done image with silhouettes of buildings and birds - and that colorful sky! It would do great in a travel brochure. At least, it would attract me! Congratulations. |

I Wuz Framed, I Tell Ya!by GeneralEComment: I understand now your intent. I think the title probably diverted us somewhat from what you were aiming for. "I wuz framed, I tell ya!" is normally taken by most people I know as being comedic (humorous, not even close to sarcastic) in nature, rather than being associated with the tragic nature of the events you want to portray. With that mindset established, evaluation of your image took a totally different path. Still, as I said before, I like the image. |

Scenic Southwest Oklahomaby postoakinversionComment: Cool rays. Creates a really need mood as a photo, but I'd love to see a tad more light on some of the foreground subjects, even the closer hills. Would just seem to make it more inviting, rather than just pretty. Guess that's a feeling that's hard to put into words. You need to "see" what is to "attract" you. Anyway, it's only 5% of the impact of the image regardless. So... go with what you have. I may be totally wrong in my opinion. Good luck with it. |

Here's Holland: Clogs, Cheese and ....by PhilosComment: ... and Hoogendyks? Love the image. Much more romantic and nicer than those sterile old white electric generating windmills you see in California. The highlights almost look like they are lit up with special lighting. Thanks for the image. Good luck with it in the challenge. |

Diagon Alleyby ClubJuggleComment: I like the detail that shows in the top 1/3 of the image, but it's lacking in the rest. As for a travel guide, unless you were going for a book tour, this image would only be one of multiples that showed local activities. It wouldn't be a great, attracting, all encompassing descriptor of a travel destination which is what I was kind of looking for. Maybe others will disagree with me. Good luck with it. |

Texas Highwaysby L1Comment: Man, there is NOTHING more boring to me when traveling than flat, on-going for ever, monotonous, straight highways. I would NEVER try and put them in a travel guide designed to entice visitors. Nice clouds though - and good contrast. Good luck with it in the challenge. |

Take some time to visit the famous Fort Worth Zoo while you're in the DFW area.by aggiedaneloverComment: Really nice image of the bird. Great colors, detail, contrast with back ground, watchful little eye peering at you. Unfortunately, it would just as well be Chicago, Phoenix, NYC, Miami (probably more so, considering all their plastic ones), San Diego, etc. IMHO, the image needs to say something about a "particular" location. Others probably won't agree with me. Good luck with it. |
