Let There be Lightby umbrisComment: What a stunning image. Great angle. Captivating! I love the dark images in the foreground and the brilliantly lit images behind them. Outstanding job! |

Arcadeby AlbireoComment: Nice subtle variation on the motif with the dark arch. Really elegant and a great study in the power of contrast. Although the arches move down, I get the feeling of upward movement. Again, that contrast makes what could have been just an average photo, a very good photo. |

Keeping Warmby attacheComment: Nice image! The crispness of your subject, the emotive expression, the framing, and the angle of the lighting all work very well. Bravo. Great Photo! |

Psionby ShadowrainComment: The grain muddies this picture too much. I am unsure what your subject is doing. I seems to have his hand out, but I am unsure if he is reaching for me or pushing me away. I am unable to see his facial expression to judge from theat either. Great idea, though. Change the angle and clean this up and you could really have a powerful image. |

Travel Back In Time In This All Original 1963 Ford Fairlaneby woodseyComment: I love the clean lines and the sparkle in the steering wheel and the instruments and knobs on the dash. The dice are a good idea, but don't work here for me. They overpower the true elegance in this photo. The values in the elements of the car are stunning to me. Although I know what you were going for with the dice, get rid of them, pull back a bit, bring the angle around so the gauges and numbers on the instruments are visible, and crop over cutting the radio in half. See what you think then. |

film noirby grainman9Comment: Excellent idea. I like the idea of lighting one person in what is usually a crowded place, but when the movie is good, you feel like you are the only one in the theater. Your subject is too washed out for me. Since you are highlighting her, I want to be able to see her in more detail. Again, I think this is a genius of an idea. Great brain work thinking it up. I think it has the potential to transcend. I imagine you do some very amazing work or certainly have the potential. |

Layersby FotowereldComment: Nice range of values. I don't have a focal point, and I am unable to pick out an idea, theme, or message. The framing is interesting, I think I would turn the image so it is vertical. I kept turning my head when I looke at it. Maybe that would make the difference. |

Graceby charmayneComment: I like this photo. The contrast of the black and white gives me a feeling of the opposites in nature i.e. the good within the evil, the sadness within the joy, the ugly within the beautiful etc... I guess the amazing balance in nature that acts as a foil to enhance its opposite.
This comes to mind perhaps because you chose a swan as your subject. The title of your photo doesn't indicate that, but that is how this image struck me. Nice job! |

Warmth of Decemberby parrotheadComment: Stunning color and light - if the artist was going for warm and serene, he or she succeeded. I would crop up from the bottom cutting off the lower part of the container. I might even move th tree over to the right of the frame a bit more. This is a beautiful image. The background compliments the focal point well. Nice job! |
