Splash - milk to the chocolate by joaobaComment: Well done on the Blue Ribbon. Will look forward to seeing more of your work in the challenges to come. This particular photo is fascinating, particularly by the way those splashes out from the centre almost appear like eyelashes. |

Physical and Abstract Balance by graphicfunkComment: This is a very awe inspiring photo. I would love to learn how to take some photos of reflective surfaces that don't include my camera and my reflection in it. If you get the time - please share the 'tip'?
Well done on the blue ribbon. Very deserving. The artistry of the photo is incredible. Not only does it seem to answer the challenge of 'balance', but those orbs almost appear like eyes! I'm also impressed with the colours in the photo. |

Hot Chocolateby bongoComment: The lighting from beneath / inside the tower of kitkat fingers really does make it look like a hot furnace, and I like the way that the white light picks out the corners and angles at the top of the tower. Not sure about the bar propped up at the lower side, wondering if the photo might be without it altogether? |

The sweetest thing.by p_johnsComment: I really like the contrasts of shape, shade and lighting and skin tones on this. It looks a 'warm' image. I like the way the chocolate has been used so creatively in the photo. I'm not a photo expert and neither am I qualified to make any technical criticisms, but for me this photograph works really well and I gave it a 9 |

Chocolateby ElpisComment: The dark background is lovely and I like the way the lighting picks out the stream of melted chocolate, then gently strokes the curves of the bar underneath, ending in shadow at the front, which blends into the background. I like the angle, making the light pick out the whole one side of the bar - making for both an interesting and artistic contrast and perspective to the whole image. I'm no photography expert, neither am I qualified to be able to make 'technical' criticisms, but I think the photo works really well. I'm undecided about the frame. Anyway - gets my 10. |

Menardmam: I believe you don't HAVE to make a comment. Have you considered that the kind of comment you've made here might also be a waste of the reader's time? You never know who's submission you're judging when you judge and this photo could have been a first submission by a young 'wannabe' who ends up crucified by such a comment and who then loses trust in this site as being a helpful tool by which to achieve his/her dream. If you believe that you are a good photographer (I see you also submit to the challenges), then I wonder if you might also want to consider being the type who is prepared to try to share their knowledge and experience with others in a thoughtful and constructive way - when making a comment? |

ReflectiveSudsby unknowndeathComment: I looked at this again! Then I read the 'photographer's comment'.
Wow, it really is visually superb. There are three lots of suds and the centre one has 'chosen' to be beside one - leaving the other 'unchosen'? I do hope you'll let me know if I'm right?
