Greetings from the Critique Club!

Ah the silliness! I thought it was a cute idea- reminds me of one of those Richard Scary childrens books. I think the monkey has a car just like this! The main thing that turned me off about this picture was the color of the wheels and roll bar. I didn't realize that you had used a different kind of banana- to me it just looked like they had gone bad under the studio lights, and thus were kind of icky.

I know there is always some debate about the kind of pictures that we take on DPC- are they fine art, are they commerical, are they allowed to be utterly silly? I think that there is a place for all of these kinds of pictures, and I wouldn't worry about the nay-sayers.

Clever idea! I think cutting down on the number of details might have helped the impact of this shot. Taking it somewhere with only sky, or inside with a white ceiling, and getting rid of things like her sunglasses and his watch would help draw the view just to the 3 faces. That being said, very creative, and I'm amazed you kept yourself out of the reflections!

The warmth of the background works well. Try rotating it 90 degrees CCW just for kicks and giggles- I think it might balance it better.

The lighting is pretty harsh. I know you took this shot candidly, but next time, maybe try having the kids pose for you in the shade- it'll cut down on the glare a lot.
