I'm not really able to make out the sewing part of the image - the thread is there, but I don't see the needle or what she's actually working on.

However, I like the colors. The photo could be generally sharper/better focused.

I love the grittyness of this photo, the stark overexposure at the end of the tunnel and the supersaturated colors.

I love the concept of this one. The image in the distance (to the left of the pinky) is distracting (a continuous black background would have been helpful). The palm is a little overexposed so I'm missing the texture of the palm lines. I like the depth of field and the position & shadows on the fingers.

At first I thought this was a cookie and I thought ... YUM!

Then I realized it was foam, no less yummy.

The colors and direction light are wonderfully accomplished for such an everyday subject.

The centered composition is balanced by the off-centered lighting and full-black background. 9

I didn't get to this one in the voting and I probably would have given it a 7.

Mostly because the horizon/lines seem to go down a bit and it doesn't feel quite right ... maybe something a little more horizontal or on the slightly upside.

The depth of field places the focus to the far left, something slightly in (maybe one more box) like 405 might give it more of a balance of thirds.

You placed very well (top 10%) and that's something to be proud of. Nice find!

I thought your shot was technically excellent and I gave you a 7.

I thought the depth of field was well executed and the composition was solid.

However, like the other commenter, it lacked a sort of emotional oomph that I think it would need to put it over the top witih the voters. I'm not sure how to say that would be accomplished with this subject - perhaps more of a demonstration of the forged strength of the objects featured or comparing them to plastic or some other inferior material.

I thought this was an exceptionally inventive image. Technically good, with a strong depth of field, good focus and a great subject.

I need to check it on another monitor, but there's a slight green tinge to it for me, that seems to give it less of a metallic look to me. The depth of field and motion blur really makes this photo pop.

I didn't vote on the whole challenge (on vacation) but I would have given you a 7.

The juxtaposition of items is interesting, but the name-brand doesn't do anything for me.

I love the soft highlights, angle, depth of field and cropping though. You probably would have gotten a 7 from me. A techically excellent photo.

Love the subject, but I think a bit more isolation on the phone booths as a subject would bring it more coherence. At the moment it's a bit chaotic with all the lines an colors.

I like the saturation and the textures.
