I am glad your shot did better then you have predicted. No, i don't think you have to narrow DoF. And no, the "thing" on the right does not bother me, did not see it before reading your note. I wonder if it would have been empty without it...they eye would just wonder off...And to the contrary, i like this Short DoF, it makes it "final" in a way (if you know what i mean). As for freedom, persoannly, yes i can see the connection. The quesion is though, freedom, for who? Her freedom or his freedom? Maybe it is freedom for both...The grain, well, i love grain so...

One of the best, for sure, if not THE BEST. Thsi is really a great shot, full of drama. Love the overexposure as this indicates that there is where the freedom lies. The symbolism with the mask over the eyes, that the model is removing...the freedom so see life as it is, without blind foldes...A 10 from me

Just spotted this one on TL, thought i recognised it and found it here ;) The shot itself is really great. The blown out background is really good and the straw berry is wonderful, great colour. Good luck :)
