Fire, light the way.by moviemanComment: I like the idea and I _love_ the colors - but the composition - falling as it does off the left side - is distracting. Hard to control the light, I imagine, a fire being somewhat unpredicatable. |

Aqua Fountain of Lightby robbiehComment: I like your idea and I like the way the strand of light seems to bend over itself but there is no clear focal point for me to rest my eyes upon. Perhaps a broader arc to the light that falls off the page to the right and the bottle closer to the left,, Very good technically - clear, sharp and the lighting is good. |

Leo the Regalby Glen KingComment: The cat/lion jump is a little hard for me. I like the background color as contrast to the cat's color but the cat itself is a little soft. It looks to be a flash shot, perhaps you could try some indirect softer lighting. |

Aquaris - The Waterbearerby tariqueComment: ThIs is a very creative and wonderful interpretation - and except for the top left corner where the background fabric falls away it's darn close to perfect in my opinion. I quite like the low contrast and your DOF is lovely. |

Electric Lacesby Geo_GriffinComment: I LOVE this image. I mean, visually, I'd hang it on my wall. But I admit to some trouble understanding the painting with light aspect - did you do some actual painting with light and then photoshop a neon glow in or is this all natural so to speak? It doesn't matter how much you photoshopped it to me - as long as it started out as being "painted". Can you tell me about it? |

Winter Morning on the Dockby inspzilComment: I could be wrong (and correct me if I am) but the light souce does not appear to be under your control (seems natural). Aside from the meeting the challenge aspect - boy this is a lovely photo. I love the colors and the dark spots. |

Pool candle taking an off-ramp!by wetlandComment: I understand the set up but I find it visually confusing - no place to put my eye and rest it. I think I might have left out the little hook shaped squiggle - but that's a personal opinion. That said, the part where it goes into the pocket is wonderrful. I bet a crop of that aspect alone would have been lovely, Clear as a bell, too., |

Crystal Bowl and Spheresby SamaraComment: Good idea, I like it but the effect of the light on all the glass is a little harsh, making it seem out of focus. Hot spots are unavoidable, I know, in this sort of technique. Extraotrdinary composition - the set up is pleasing to my eye. |

Crystal Clearby dg02Comment: What a beauty. Your composition is sublime. The weather looks cold - too cold to be so deeply colored - did you have to push the saturation a lot? I admire your eye. |

Overhauling Historyby mbardeenComment: Pretty shot. Those odd perspective shots are hard to frame - I see you chose a right alignment to the scaffolding - good choice, I think. Perhaps you might have cropped the entire left vertical line and the persoective skew would not have been noticeable. The blue and cream tones are sublime. I like this shot a lot. |
