Adrift...by connieComment: Very dark, kind of sulking. Nice abstract. I like the dark tones with the hint of color up at the top corner. The silhouette/shadowed plants add some nice texture and interest to the image. The boat is perfectly placed - I like the off-center tilt. This is very gritty and has a quiet that really screams out at you - if that makes sense? It is understated yet makes you pay attention to it. I think its gorgeous, very reminiscent of an old painting in my mind. I love the way the light plays off the water as well. Very very nicely photographed/post-processed. I'm bumping from a 7 to an 8 and adding a favorite. |

Ghost Trainby SammieComment: Excellent clarity for the most part - the font of the engine looks a bit soft. Love the black/white versus the color - looks like selective desaturation and I think it works here (though I don't know if the desaturation worked out evenly, seems some color bits here and there). Nice composition and control of the light. Great capture. I gave a 7 |

Chevyby industrealityComment: Simple. Bold. Strong. I love the lighting, the B&W, the implied texture. I think it looks great centered, the silver tone is fantastic. I'd actually shave off about half an inche to an inch off the top, but that's just playing around with it - it looks great as is. I love the shadow and light play. Very nicely captured. I gave am bumping from a 7 to an 8. |

New York Minutesby roby21112Comment: Wonderfully emotive. I like the feeling of peace this image has. The woman looks as though she's taking a simple moment out of the very busy world (very nicely captured in the soft focused background). I think the lighting is masterfully used here. The bright bustling outdoors versus the quiet shadowed world inside the car. The portion that really captures my eye is her forearm. Its got a very nice tone and smoothness and really draws the eye up into her shadowed face. I don't know how this will be received by DPC at large, but I think this is one of the more subtle and simply perfectly captured images I've seen in awhile - it exudes a sense of isolation from the outside world so nicely. Sure there are some slight areas of overly bright light in the background and the image could've been tilted slightly to the right to even out the horizontal line of the car door more, but I don't think this suffers from those nitpicks at all. This really drew me in and got me invested as a viewer, I hope others found the same things in it as I did. I'm bumping from a 7 to a 9 and adding a favorite. |

My Audi by xcharrierComment: This is a gorgeous image I could easily see as a print ad. The clarity is excellent, the movement has been captured very well. I love the motion trails (they add so much energy and light to this image) and would love to know how you made this all work out so well. Excellent control of light and composition too. I'd seriously see if you could get this used by the company somehow, you've really made your car look and feel energized and phenominal. I'm bumping from a 7 to a 9 and adding a favorite. |

UP by cloudsmeComment: Lovely! I think the pastel colors are great, gives a wonderful soft feeling to the image. I like the inclusion of the antennae tower, good foil for the balloon.. technology versus an example of a simple mode of travel. The colors contrast nicely with one another, that green is beautifully vibrant against the peachy-pink sky. The image looks a bit Neat Imaged to me, which is alright but sometimes ends up plasticking images up, it may not be NI'd at all but that immediately came to mind when I was looking at the relationship of the balloon to the sky. A very nice photo, I gave a 7 |

I should’ve stayed in school…by edmengComment: I find the title amusing. I think this is an excellent capture. I'm guessing its a candid and if so, its lovely (even if it isn't). The contrasts are perfect, great choice of B&W and the focus is excellent. I like the fact you've controlled the light here so nothing is overwhelming. I think the composition is great except I do wish the tire wasn't cut off at the bottom and there was just a bit more breathing room at the top so she didn't look cramped in the picture. Other than that though I think this is wonderful. I'm bumping from a 7 to an 8 and adding a favorite. |

of luxuryby kmbr2001Comment: I love it. Black & white with deep contrasts. Wonderful. I like the pattern of masts and the negative space at the bottom. I think shaving a smidge off of the bottom (maybe half an inch) would still keep the open feeling yet compress the image just slightly. You've kept the natural light under control here and it really works to the image's advantage since its making the contrasts so apparent. Very nicely captured. I gave a 7 |

Transport with class - Z9 BMWby SteveinnzComment: I definitely like this, the silver and water droplets are very interesting. All of the coloring goes well together and the shapes are what really bring my eye into the image. There are a few issues I do have with it though. The left side is cropped in way too much, it needs some breathing room at least equal to the right side. The line along the bottom that is partially cropped out is also distracting, if there was a way to evenly remove it without crowding the bottom of the image or to include it in its entirety, I'd like it better. Finally there seems to be a slight tilt to the image, that could just be my perception but there it is all the same! The focus seems just a tiny bit soft too. I like the way the lighting is coming from one side and yet not creating too harsh of shadows. Catches the water droplets nicely. I gave a 6. |

Moving Kids for Decadesby L1Comment: Very nice and simple image. Tells a story in the rough condition of both the shoes and the skateboard. I like how the skateboard looks older instead of one of those fancypants things (could just be my perception of course) so that helps futher the idea of it being in use for a long time. There's some great lines and shapes here as well. I've just a couple nitpicks, I wish there was more contrast to the image and that the DOF was just a bit deeper. Other than that, nicely done. I gave a 7 |
