I Bust Mine . . . So I Can Kick Yours!by ErinKirstenComment: The combination of intense soccer gear and flouncy dress doesn't really work for me here. As a soccer player myself, I grow a bit tired of how people always seem to need to qualify the intense by showing the girly. It becomes kind of a cliche for me. Are you really inspired by combining the two? Are you passionate about it? What unique statement are you making that hasn't been done so many times before?
I would have rather seen her in just her soccer gear with the same pose and sassy attitude. I do love her pose, and this is a very well taken photograph, especially the lighting. 6 |

Blue Fantasiaby DennisheckmanComment: Love the perspective! A great editing job too!
I think I might have flipped it 90 degrees counterclock wise though. I flipped my laptop and I feel that that gives the image even more depth. This lets me start at the lamp post and then follow the image upwards continually into the sky, rather than looking at the lamp post, looking up at the sky, and then coming back down again to view the other building.
Still a great shot that I greatly enjoyed perusing. 8 |

Low tideby ray_mefarsoComment: This is a lovely picture and I love the subject matter and composition you chose. However, I think if you had shot from a lower viewpoint (at her level rather than above her) this image would have had even more impact. 6 |

Prince of the Fallby SimmsComment: An absolutely beautiful serene photo. I love how the bokeh creates a really nice sense of the environment while keeping the focus on the deer.
That being said, I think this image is hurt a bit by its centralized composition. |

The great outdoorsby Silent-ShooterComment: Great image Steve! This was actually my favorite of the challenge and my only 10. I thought for sure it would ribbon.
Alas it was not to be, but what a strong entry anyways. You should check out the photographer "Jimmy Chin". This image reminds me a lot of his work. |

The Fallby markwileyComment: Great job!!! You made it into the top 10!
I will admit, I had some teammate competitiveness in my head, and was hoping to beat you, but alas your image is awesome :-P |

Bath Timeby tangueraComment: This is a lovely image that I would have given at least a 7 in a free study, but completely and utterly does not meet the challenge for me. Did you accidentally submit it into the wrong challenge? Lighting and subject matter remind me of the work of tanguera. No vote |

Feyby rooumComment: Great focus on those eyes. I think some more photoshop (yes even within the Basic ruleset) would have really brought this picture out a bit more. As it is, it is nevertheless a very charming natural portrait. |
