"You vs Him"by JeileenComment: What I am seeing here: black and white; under and over; and the least obvious but MOST thought provoking: liquid and solid / water and ice. This composition is truly genius. How did you do this? It looks like you froze a chess board in a block of ice. You deserve to win this competition by a long shot - truly the most amazing photo I have seen on DPChallenge for a looooong time. With this photograph, you have managed to rekindle my passion for photography and for DPChallenge. A well-deserved 10 for what promises to be a well-deserved 1st place blue ribbon! |

Big and Smallby DrakeComment: Awww, this is the cutest animal photograph of the challenge! Nicely done - I especially like the faact that they are also looking at each other which adds to the "opposite" effect. (8) |

Seasoned Ying and Yangby dcclossComment: Salt and pepper - ying and the yang - narrow vs. fat neck - very nicely done! Love the natural shadows and definitely LOVE the composition. Ribbon duly deserved. 9 |

AC DCby PDavisComment: Would have liked to see it more in focus. Great concept - would have been one of my top picks if the photo itself would have been sharper. (7) |

Opposing Shadowsby aaronb532Comment: Great idea. Simple and captivating. However, the photo is way to grainy and doesn' t have enough contrast. The whites could be whiter and the black could be blacker. Good attempt. |

Life and Deathby pogboy4Comment: People are voting critically this challenge because they aren't using their brain. But this photo is GREAT! Life- the flower itself, or the LIFE term you'll get if you use the gun on someone. Death - the gun itself or the flowers that you place on a grave. I don't know if you meant this double-edged opposition, where each subject could represent both LIFE and DEATH, but this is truly well done. (9) |

Keepin it Coolby NazgulComment: Nice idea, but way overphotoshopped. It almost looks like the men were blacked out from the photograph. Either way, 7 |
