if i stare at the empty "parking space" in the middle of the picture then
it makes my head go round-and-round.. like being seesick

and then the interesting shipbuilding is more lightened by the sun :)

you used flash, and there is a very dark shadow of the dog's ear
it seems that the dog has 3 ears... :p
the dog is at rest but his ears are "activated".. they are not lowered down..
you have to be patient with animals (or people too :) to get a better photo, i'm sure if you had waited for a minute or so you could get a perfect "dog at rest" picture

did you make a picture with opposite focus point too? so that the flowers are in focus and the tree is out of focus? good composition!
my eyes badly want to find focus on the front flowers...
