looks frosty hope the dog did not get frost bite on the nose. I think that you needed to expose for the snow or dogs fur, maybe even use some exposure compensation. You may also want to slightly dodge the eyes.

Good take on the challenge. I think that you needed a bigger depth of field so both the soldiers hat and memorial are both sharp. I think the composition might need some work, I would have included some more of the memorial and the solders face.

I think that you needed to take the shot just after dusk while there is still some colour in the sky. Very good topic for you shot.
