 Lest We Forget.

On April 25, 1915, troops of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) landed at Gallipoli. This day is remebered every year as ANZAC day and the ANZAC spirit is something that every Australian is proud of. The slouch hat and rising sun emblem are the hallmarks of the Australian army.

Opened through ACR, cropped, selective colour layer adding 100% blacks to yellow channel, resized, merged visible, 8 bits per channel, unsharp mask twice, saved for web.

I realy liked this photo in the previews. However the text is out of focus and the sky is a distraction. :(

Good take on the challenge. I think that you needed a bigger depth of field so both the soldiers hat and memorial are both sharp. I think the composition might need some work, I would have included some more of the memorial and the solders face.

The idea is great. The ANZAC spirit is something that does helf define Aussie. The image seems to have competing focal points however.
