Well, Clark, I can tell you obviously have a great deal of personality and perhaps you should be angry because even Merriam-Webster would deny your pic consideration as a portrait:

According to this, a portrait of you would have to be conveyed using words. Hmm, I think your artist has done a good job of that, but in this case a picture is not worth 1000 words.
Perhaps your continued crusade for recognition as a person will pay off someday, but in this forum, you are merely a very spirited RV. Happy travels.

I find the fans gimmicky. This would be a great shot cropped a little more tightly with the fans removed. The wood has a warmth that really enhances the subject, the piano suggests something about his personality or interests, and his pose and expression are great. I think the fans kill the shot.

The shadow cuts his face in half, I had the same problem while photographing my son in his cowboy hat for this challenge. The eyes are striking, especially against the blue in his shirt.
