Stressedby PtmanComment by tcherring: CRITIQUE CLUB
This is such an awesome photo! I don't know if I'm the right person to critique it because I love it so much!
LIGHTING: Very good, but may have provided more interest with some shadows or shading. That's just being nit-picky though
CHALLENGE: About as rhythmic as you can get! I find it fascinating how you caught this without flaws disturbing the rhythm of the print.
SUBJECT: I like what you chose because it's unique. The earth color is absolutely GORGEOUS! The red tint makes it so interesting and fun to look at.
OVERALL: A really great photo that seems to go on forever. You should be proud of this one...I honestly can't think of much I would change. |

Traffic Stopperby PtmanComment by teachme53: I am at a loss and can't find Waldo. Oh well, he hid himself well. The point of view you took the picture from is very good. You have good depth of field. I feel the lighting could have been better, the car seems to be very gray. The reflection definetly needs to stand out more. This would have stopped your eye from flowing to the back of the picture and then off. That point of interest is so important in a picture and is definitly missing from this photo...John Gill |

Gilded Lilyby PtmanComment by rmahan: Vibrant color and I like the split colors/lighting on the background. Looks like you've got a few dust spots on your CCD on the left side which are distracting but very nice overall. |

Traffic Stopperby PtmanComment by davehuge: So Waldo's female! Unfortunately, I didn't see this photo until the voting was over. I think it's excellent and deserves a much better placing than it got, easily top 10.

Brokenby PtmanComment by KarenB: Critique Club Assignment:
Initial: What an impact. This is very dramatic.
Composition: The windmill is framed nicely, and I like how it is eclipsing the sun. The clouds and sky are a beautiful color and are tangible.
Technical: Focus, colors, selection of time of day. All excellent.
Overall: This has wow! The clouds in the distance pull your eye right over the ridge.
I don't think this did as well as it maybe should have, however, I believe it is work you can and should be very proud of!
Nice going! |

Giants of the Bushby PtmanComment by GeneralE: What I find most unusual is how the brances are so unevenly distributed around the trunks. Are there strong prevailing winds in this area? Nice exposure, color, DOF. |

Traffic Stopperby PtmanComment by mcrael: I can see a bit of a reflection in the vehicle door, but it doesn't provide enough detail for me to be able to distinguish it as a person - and I've adjusted my monitor's brightness and contrast settings to in my attempts to locate your person. I have to therefore, rate this photo as "doesn't meet the challenge". Sorry. |
