This is so pretty. I love the pink tones. Did you do that in post processing, or was the sky really that color? It is one of those pics that I would keep in my files, and when I need a dramatic sky to highlight an image, I would put this one in. It really is a great image for backgrounds, or even for graphics, etc.

Adjusting the curves or levels during processing might have been able to turn the background a little blacker. The harsh lighting on the scissors detracts from the photo. Good composition though, and yes, this is creative.

i like the idea, but feel that your execution has let you down. the lighting is just a bit too strong, and a lot of the details and textures that could make this a rich image are missing. also, the focus is just a bit too soft. not sure what was in the background, but it is more of a distraction that a complementing element.
