Katherineby kncoughlinComment by Silent Sister: Beautiful portrait shot. The only thing that detracts from the overall photo(and not sure if you could do anything about this) is the heavy feeling of the garment. Great face. 9 |

Katherineby kncoughlinComment by hopper: Light source looks a little bright, it's making her skin glow and her eyes are blown out. Something to diffuse the light would have helped (like a sheer scarf or sheet) |

Katherineby kncoughlinComment by superdave_909: nice portrait
Although I would like to see her looking in the same direction that her face is pointing that way the white in her eyes aren't over powering. |

Progressby kncoughlinComment by dr rick: The wide-angle focal length effectively exaggerates the length of the legs. It also distorts the floor tile, but that's minor. The whiteness of the upper legs is distracting. I don't care for the red letters; it is too intense. I think orange or gold would go better with the message. |

Progressby kncoughlinComment by timmi: Interesting viewpoint. Like that it is b&w. The mat is well done, but the red text took it over board. If your text was simply white and a bit less heavy, I would have scored it much higher. |

Progressby kncoughlinComment by GeneralE: Perspective distortion (?) on the right bothers me some. I might have tried cropping a square out of this, and put it on a vertical layout with two lines of type below, maybe shortening it to
Walk Slowly,
But Never Backwards |

Sapphire and Diamondsby kncoughlinComment by Imagineer: I'm sorry to say that this doesn't interest me at all. It has much to do with a lack of focus but also to do with a rather plain subject shot in an unengaging way.
For this to work I think you really need to get a lot closer to obscure some context since there is much in your shot that is unnecessary. The earring may look more unusual and generate more intrigue if it was shot from any other angle than the one that we would normally view it from, for instance from under the ear looking up or over the ear looking down onto a naked shoulder, creating a sensual vibe and some visual confusion.
Ultimately your duotone effect and lens flare seem like substitutes for a good compsition. |

Just another sunset in Oklahomaby kncoughlinComment by banmorn: well it is hardly a simple sunset....I think the colors superb and I like the different patterns caught in the sky....you lost me with the inclusion of the flag pole and the tall tree on the left....otherwise quite nice. |
