This is a nicely done, simple and elegant portrait. Love the glow that you have achieved through soft lighting and focus.Great catchlight in eyes and lips. Kudos!

Lighting: The lighting is good.
Pose: The pose is good, but the perspective from below eye level is not as flattering as it could have been. The soft focus works with the dreamy pose, but you lost a lot of detail, probably from noise reduction; which is most noticable in the plastic feel of the face and the lack of clear definition in the hair.
Background: The background compliments her skin tone and makeup well.

Good combination of softness and detail. Square crop works well with proportions of large underlying shapes.

Nicely done; would have liked a crop on the left side to give less of a centered composition. Lighting is effective. Perhaps a bit more sharpness around her eyes. Well done. :o)

Beautiful portrait shot. The only thing that detracts from the overall photo(and not sure if you could do anything about this) is the heavy feeling of the garment. Great face. 9

Beautiful model and wonderful lighting, but I think you over did it with the noise reduction program. Were you doing that for the soft look? Still, I like this very much.

Interesting pose! I'm not sure I quite like the blown highlights.

But soft, what light through yonder window breaks./It is the east and Katherine is the sun. =). Sorry, I usaully don't quote Shakespeare when voting through images. But I thought of the soft focus, then the expresiion on her face, and it could be Juliet. Random, I know. Oh, and nice picture BTW.

The hair seems a bit over processed, and the light on the forhead might be a little strong.

Great lighting, composition, background. Model's pose seems "static" somehow.

looks just about to cry, good lighting and pose though

Light source looks a little bright, it's making her skin glow and her eyes are blown out. Something to diffuse the light would have helped (like a sheer scarf or sheet)

overly blurred

nice portrait
Although I would like to see her looking in the same direction that her face is pointing that way the white in her eyes aren't over powering.

good picture, a little to blah an expression on the model, and the lighting kind of cuts the back of her head off

Too soft, model has beutifull hair. With more sharpness this would have looked better

Very well done - would like a little backlight from the left side, just to bring out some depth in her hair - it wouldn't affect that lovely light across the face.
06/28/2004 07:53:36 PM
Has a bluish tint.
Nice pose.

Great job.

Your portrait is very pretty. The soft focus is nice; however, something about the mouth doesn't look quite right - the upper lip seems to blend into the face. Also, I think a different outfit would have been better - the pose, lighting and focus is so romantic and ethereal that a soft sligtly ruffled dress would have added more to the picture than a tux like suit.

a little too soft on the focus. Or maybe it's not soft enough.
Just in the middle i think, make it look like a mistake
good luck though

beautiful innocence longing to dissapear. A bit out of focus.

This image is disturbingly Lolita-like to me. She has too much lipgloss and she appears to be wearing nothing but a neclace under the low-cut, over-sized tuxedo jacket (an odd choice of costuming, IMO). She has gorgeous Rapunzel-like hair and beautiful skin which you've captured well.

Very nice soft focus- your model seems very fitting to this style of portrait.

Repunsel! Love the light. Maybe a darker lipstick. 8
