Thanks everyone for the comments. I'm glad that some of you really liked the image. I've tried to do something different and I'm satisfied with the result. Sure I'll print it and hang it somewhere :)

I was hoping this would do much better! Its still a good score but I guess the voters didnt want an abstract shot probably wanted more of an animal shot. Regardless I think you should be proud of this shot - it is fantastic. The border makes the image and like blindjustice said it works because of what is not in the frame.

haha i had similar idea but not as good as this,
IMG_9387 by gilesbert, on Flickr but thought there would be a lot of zebra so opted for somethign different. loving the letter box crop 9

I sure have mixed reactions to this image. Love the zebra stripes abstract part. I hate the long black bars top and bottom. And, there is no eye catch glint, which is a big deficit in any animal image for me. I did give this a "7". Would have scored this much higher if you had showed more of the animal.

A nice take for the challenge of a very cliche subject matter. You did well with your subject and the idea behind your shot, but I feel like if you were seeing zebras, there were many other opportunities at your disposal, as well.
