A portion of the Irish Memorial by Glenna Goodacre, 2002, in Philadelphia, PA. The memorial commenmerates Ireland's Great Hunger of 1845-50. More than 1 million people starved to death and another 1 million emigrated.

Maybe it is because I live in Texas, but I have no clue what this statue represents.

"Literal photographic representations of the entirety of existing works of art (including your own) are not considered acceptable submissions, however creative depictions or interpretations are permissible. This includes, but is not limited to paintings, sculptures, photographs, drawings, and computer artwork.
"

I didn't request a DQ because I am not sure this is the entirity of the sculpture. But if you are going to photograph an art work, i would be careful to have something about the photo that "interprets" it. Some context. Something added. That way you won't risk DQ.
