I LOVE this image. It could mean so many things on different levels.

8 from me.

Great idea! This shot would be wonderful if it weren't for two things: The image is very soft (I'm sure you've been told this already) and the doctor's coat should not be wrinkled.

I like the depth of field to emphasize the hands and the diagonal of the arm. Only negative is that on this screen the image looks like it has a red cast. Auto levels or playing around with the white point may help correct the cast. (Otherwise it's this monitor)

Finally a great idea for this challenge, good pose, I would like to see the hands in sharper focus and maybe better color all over the photo, a little color correction is needed imo, there's a little too much light-yellow-orange color on the robe.
Very good motive for this theme, I like it!

A powerful statement with such a simple illustration. I like this because here is a photo that doesn't "need" a title to help explain why it's in this challenge. Good job. Good luck in the challenge.

Nice pic but the surgeon coat should have been ironed first. The wrinkles are a bit distracting.

Good "hope" image. I really like the DOF, it's just right to convey the message. I also like the off-white of the lab coat.

This really says hope to me more than most of the images. It's a bit blurry though.

little of of focus but great idea

I think it would be much more appealing if the DOF was very shallow and focused on the hands. Making them very sharp and the rest blurry would work much better for me.

good idea. justifying the "hope" aspect quite well. i have an entry with a similar concept, our hope and faith in medicine. the image itself however seems slightly out of focus (perhaps softly focused on purpose?), and the doctor's coat out of place, as if it was not real somehow. overall, i like it.

I really like how this shot teeters on the emotional edge of a hopeful recovery.. and a resignation of defeat.
