Scrumptious stuff with marvelous meteorology to boot. I can imagine the fashion crowd eying this one off as a statement. It's hanging in many a virtual gallery already.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: Standout contrast and a really unusual composition - I find this really compelling and highly effective. I'd normally shy away from such extreme highlights and adjacent shadows but you were absolutely right to embrace them.

Critical stuff: Nope

Overall: Outstanding image.

I like your composition and the wet platinum blonde hair against the dark sky. Something doesn't feel right with the sky though. It appears to be burned in areas and not uniform.
